Praised by The Baltimore Sun as “remarkable…offering admirable variety and depth of repertoire,” Music at St. David's series includes concert, recitals and evensongs, and special festival services, as well as an Ensemble-in-Residence and Composer-in-Residence programs.
Rahzé served as the Composer-in-Residence for the series. The Choir of St. David's premiered several of Sinclair's works as part of the Festival Evensong for the Feast of Frederick Douglass, including, "Lord, When You Send the Rain", "A Word", "I Die for All Mysterious Things", and a special Preces and Responses written for the liturgy.
St. David's Episcopal Church commemorated the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a recital and festival Evensong service. The annual event began with a pre-service recital, featuring baritone Rahzé Sinclair (né Cheatham), and including the world premiere of Sinclair's new work for soprano and chorus, "Grandfather's Hands". Following the recital was the Service of Evensong, a musical liturgy offering anthems, hymns, and spirituals which reflect on the ongoing struggle for justice and peace throughout the world.
