As One

A chamber opera in which two voices—Hannah after and Hannah before—share the part of a sole transgender protagonist in a poignant coming-of-age story with a universal theme of identity, authenticity, and compassion. Most recently, they made their Kahilu Theatre debut, performing in the 52nd production of the show as part of the 2022 Hawai’i Performing Arts Festival. In November 2021, they made their Lowell Chamber Orchestra debut in the landmark 49th production of the show, which, for the first time ever, featured an all-trans cast. Rahzé first performed this role in honor of Transgender Awareness Month 2018 at the Motorhouse in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a series of community-based performances before closing April 2019 on the John F. Kennedy Center Millennium Stage in Washington, D.C.
