MOTOR HOUSE

Rahzé presented an Artist Exhibition as part of the Motor House Baltimore Digital Artist Portfolio (D.A.P) 5.0 Cohort. A professional development accelerator, Motor House’s D.A.P program provides artists who create and interpret bold and experimental work across multiple disciplines the time, space, and resources to produce a digital or virtual work during the COVID-19 Global Pandemic.

The exhibition explored emotional depth across collective consciousness and experiences of the natural world in two pieces with text by Edna St. Vincent Millay. Whereas one piece grappled with the potential pain of reflection and introspection (“What Lips My Lips Have Kissed”, Jake Heggie), one declares boldly the, at times, overwhelming ecstasy in experiencing the beauty of our shared natural universe (“God’s World”, Jeremy Earnest). Programming them together, the artist demands that listeners look inward as they confront the extreme emotional polarities we’ve collectively experienced over the course of the pandemic.
